Debt collection is an unpleasant fact of business. Employ a professional law firm to chase your unpaid accounts. Free up your valuable time to devote to your customers.
A debtor generally has more than one business or collection agency chasing him. The threat of legal action will cause most debtors to give priority to the account placed with our law firm. Debtors see lawyers as more threatening than collection agencies while responding more positively to lawyers as bill collectors.
Our law firm provides skilled legal assistants who can devote their time to debt collection. We are polite but firm in all our dealings with your customers. We do our best not to alienate your customer’s good will. Our aim is to collect your accounts and to have the customer continue to do business with you on a cash basis. We appreciate that your customer base is your most valued asset.
We would suggest having an initial meeting with you to decide whether we can be of service to you regarding debt collection. There will be no charge for this.
Review all of your accounts receivable. Any account which has been inactive in excess of 90 days needs immediate attention. Statistics prove that the longer an account remains outstanding, the more difficult it becomes to collect. Debtors assume you don’t mind carrying their unpaid account.
In cases where a debtor refuses to pay your account, you may wish to sue and obtain a court judgment. We charge a standard fee for this service up front and, upon collecting the account, we charge our regular collection commission. If the debtor is employed, his wage can be garnisheed. If the debtor owns property, a Writ of Execution can be placed against his or her property securing your court judgment for a ten-year period.
